​Meet the Team

Samara McIlroy – Principal Policy Analyst

Samara has most recently worked for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) as part of a new team with responsibility for implementing strategic information management. Prior to that she briefly worked for TAHO developing Guidelines and Advices. Before commencing in State Government she worked in the private sector as a Records Management consultant. 

Samara has a background in records, archives and museums, is a member of the Australian Society of Archivists, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Tasmania and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Photography) from RMIT. 

Sally Murdoch – Consultant

Sally has most recently worked for the Australian Bureau of Statistics, as part of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Strategic Information Review project. Prior to that, she was State Manager for the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) for eight years. Sally has worked across many library sectors in Victoria and Tasmania, including special, school, tertiary, and State libraries. She previously worked for TAHO during the merger of the Archives Office of Tasmania and the State Library’s Heritage Collections.

Sally is a professional member of the Australian Library and Information Association. She holds a Bachelor of Education and a Graduate Diploma in Arts (Australian Studies) from the University of Melbourne.

Janet Henderson – Consultant

Janet has a background in libraries and has worked in a primary school library, colleges, the ABC and the University of Tasmania. She moved into information management a couple of years ago, most recently working in Local Government.

Janet holds a Graduate Diploma in Information Management from the University of Tasmania and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Rhodesia and Masters in Forensic Science from the University of Strathclyde.

Crystal Adams - Project Officer

Crystal has a background in libraries and has worked in Libraries Tasmania in a variety of roles. Crystal has also been the State Program Manager for Girl Guides Tasmania.

Crystal holds a Diploma of Library and Information Services from TasTAFE.
